Something You Might See on Your Phone

Too smart phones are propped up on a dark blue background. Each phone shows a page from a hypothetical social app. One page is a chat, and the other is info about and comments from the author.

Last week, Jim, from PFCC posted a starter image of an iPhone, and told us to use any iPhone we wanted to create our composition. We got a beautiful variety of different ideas – almost as many ideas as we have people. Amy worked most all on hers, incorporating most of the starting images for June plus her own work. I am always amazed at the work posted.

The phones are from a free AdobeStock template, and the social pages are from an app I designed last year during an Adobe XD nine day challenge with Howard Pinskey. XD is set up to design user interfaces for apps and websites. It is fairly simple to use for the basics, but I always want to do more than I've been taught, so there are some parts that can be extremely frustrating for me. Especially when an instructor knows the program so well they forget to mention a step or two. Thankfully, Howard does not do that. I learn more then many of the other XD instructors.

Summer classes, Christmas in July, start on July 5 at the Art Center in beautiful downtown Saint Clair, Michigan. There are still places open in most of the classes, but enrollment closes seven days before the class starts. Don't be late.

    Take care and stay well.
